Amazon's Alexa Helps Members Check Their Prescription Order Status And More

Through our experiences in our Lab, we’ve learned that empowering members to manage their medications when and where they want to helps to activate their good intentions and stay healthy. That’s why we’re excited to introduce an industry-leading Alexa healthcare skill in collaboration with Amazon to add Alexa to the list of ways our members can stay informed about their prescriptions.

This new skill will make health care more engaging, personalized and convenient for members by enabling them to use voice technology to manage their pharmacy prescriptions. Specifically, members who use Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacy can say, “Alexa, open Express Scripts” to check their prescription order status. They can also set notifications for when orders are received, processed and shipped.

We want to make it easier for members to make better informed health care decisions, and by introducing new technologies, we are truly delivering a better experience and better care.

We also want to enhance our members’ experience with Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacy, which already offers many positive benefits, including:
