On April 6, 2026, B. Braun Medical initiated a voluntary recall of specific batches of sterile water for injection, 70% dextrose injection, 0.9% sodium chloride irrigation and Lactated Ringer’s irrigation. The recall was prompted by the potential for leakage from the diaphragm port once the foil is removed, which may compromise product integrity and possibly sterility. These products are intended for use as parenteral diluents, irrigation solutions, and, as appropriate, for the administration of fluids, electrolytes or carbohydrates.
