If you run out of refills for a medication enrolled in Automatic Refill, Express Scripts Pharmacy will contact your prescriber to request a new prescription and will notify you before doing so.
If your prescription changes or you’re no longer taking a medication, you should stop Automatic Refill for that prescription online or by contacting Express Scripts Pharmacy. Ask your prescriber to send a new 90‑day prescription for your updated medication; if it’s eligible, you can enroll it in Automatic Refill.
If your doctor changes, let your new provider know to send existing and future prescriptions to Express Scripts Pharmacy, and we’ll also reach out for new prescriptions when needed.
