Automatic Refill sends your eligible medications to you automatically, so you don’t have to remember to place a refill order each time.
Here’s how it works:
When it’s time for your next refill, Express Scripts® Pharmacy processes and ships your medication automatically.
If you run out of refills, Express Scripts Pharmacy will contact your prescriber to request a new prescription. You’ll be notified before that request is made.
Before each refill begins processing, we notify you in advance so you have time to make changes if needed—such as updating your shipping address, delaying a refill or stopping the medication.
Notifications are sent at least 10 days before processing through your preferred communication method (letter, text, email or phone).
Medicare Part D members receive notifications 15 and 10 days before processing.
You can update your communication preferences online or by calling a Patient Care Advocate (PCA).
Some states require annual consent to continue Automatic Refills (for example, Arkansas, California and Ohio). If consent is required, you’ll receive a message in advance and must respond for your refill to continue.
Automatic Refill helps ensure you stay on track with your medications—without the extra steps.
